SESRIC and the Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) of the Republic of Albania signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to facilitate the collaboration and cooperation between both institutions within the framework of the project titled “Integration of Tobacco Questions for Surveys (TQS) into the National Surveys in Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member Countries”.

H.E. Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt SELÇUK, Director General of SESRIC, signed the MoA during the Orientation Workshop on ‘Tobacco Questions for Surveys of Youth (TQS-Youth)’, while H.E. Mrs. Elsa DHULI, Director General of INSTAT of Albania, signed it remotely.

Throughout the implementation period, INSTAT will integrate TQS into its National Income and Living Condition Survey (EU-SILC), to harmonise and standardise the monitoring of key tobacco control indicators for evidence-based policy making and promote sustainability through frequent collection of tobacco use data.
