Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC, in collaboration with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat), organised a Training Course on “National Statistical Coordination” with the participation of 87 participants from the National Statistical Offices and other governmental organizations of 30 OIC countries through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course was delivered Mr. Muhammet İlyas UYSAL, Head of Official Statistics Planning and Monitoring Group at TurkStat.

The course covered the following topics:

• Turkish Statistical System
• Official Statistical Programme (OSP)
• Statistics Council
• OSP Working Groups
• Preparation and Implementation of the OSP
• National Data Release Calendar
• Monitoring of the OSP
• Quality Assessment in Official Statistics in Türkiye
• Revision of the OSP
