Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Statistical Training Course on “Quality Management in Statistical Processes” on 11-12 June 2025. The course brought together 130 statisticians and experts from National Statistical Offices (NSOs) and relevant authorities of 40 OIC countries.

Ms. Ezatul Nisha Abdul Rahman, Senior Director of the Change Management Office, Ms. Rozita Misran, Director of the Methodology and Research Division, Mr. Wan Azhar Wan Mokhtar, Deputy Director of the Change Management Office, Ms. Zoraida Dahalan, Methodology and Research Division Officer and Mr. Azhari Ahmad, Methodology and Research Division Officer at Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), conducted the training course.

The training course covered the following topics:

• Overview of International Quality Frameworks
• DOSM’s Experience in Implementing the UN National Quality Assurance Framework (UN-NQAF) for Official Statistics
• Managing the Statistical System: Strengthening Malaysia’s National Statistical System
• Managing Statistical Processes and Statistical Quality Assessment: Malaysia's Adaptation
