Webinar on ‘Monitoring Health for SDGs in the Post-COVID-19 Era’

Within the framework of its Webinar Series on Statistical Experience Sharing, SESRIC will organize a webinar on “Monitoring Health for SDGs in the Post-COVID-19 Era” on 30 April 2024. The webinar is tailored for official statisticians and practitioners from OIC countries, as well as international experts engaged or interested in health statistics.

The main objective of the webinar is to facilitate discussions on various pertinent topics, such as the global health landscape post-COVID-19, methodologies for enhancing statistical indicators to assess Universal Health Coverage (UHC), data-driven strategies to strengthen the resilience of healthcare systems, and the utilization of data and technology for health monitoring.

The agenda will include comprehensive discussions on the current applications, encountered challenges, and alternative perspectives from all stakeholders. These include:

  • Navigating the Post-COVID-19 Health Landscape
  • Enhancing Statistical Measures for UHC Assessment
  • Data-Driven Approaches to Strengthen Health System Resilience
  • Harnessing Data and Technology in Health Monitoring
  • Good practices from the OIC member countries.

In response to the resolution adopted during the 9th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) held virtually from 28 September to 1 October 2020, and which emphasized the importance of sharing experiences and best practices among the OIC-StatCom members, SESRIC launched the Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series, providing a platform for National Statistics Offices (NSOs) of OIC countries and statistical units of pertinent international agencies to share their insights on statistical topics of shared interest.
