Within the framework of its Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series, SESRIC will organize a webinar on “Modernization of NSOs through Digitalization” on 15 May 2024.

The webinar aims to bring together representatives from relevant international organizations and OIC countries to discuss the transformative effects and challenges of digitalization within the National Statistical Offices (NSOs). By examining innovative practices, sharing success stories, and addressing the challenges encountered during the digital transformation processes, the webinar seeks to identify strategies and approaches for NSOs to effectively navigate their digital modernization journey.

The agenda will include comprehensive discussions on current applications, challenges faced, and alternative perspectives from the relevant stakeholders. These include:

  • Strategies for Digital Transformation in NSOs: Global Perspectives and Practices
  • Leveraging New Technologies for Data Collection and Processing

In response to the resolution adopted during the 9th Session of the OIC Statistical Commission (OIC-StatCom) held virtually from 28 September to 1 October 2020, and which emphasized the importance of sharing experiences and best practices among the OIC-StatCom members, SESRIC launched its Statistical Experience Sharing Webinar Series, providing a platform for National Statistics Offices (NSOs) of OIC countries and statistical units of relevant international agencies to share their insights on statistical topics of shared interest.
