 The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution on 3 June 2010 officially designating 20 October 2010 as the first ever World Statistics Day to raise awareness of the many achievements of official statistics premised on the core value of service, professionalism and integrity. In 2015, the United Nations General Assembly adopted another resolution for the celebration of World Statistics Day on 20 October every five years. Since its inception in 2010, World Statistics Day has been celebrated in Malaysia with various engaging activities involving individuals from all walks of life.
In line with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of Malaysia Statistical Training Institute (ILSM), the National Statistics Day of Malaysia (Hari Statistik Negara - HSN) 2022 is to be celebrated on 20-22 October 2022 at ILSM with a variety of activities.
The celebrations are made in collaboration with Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM), Government of Perak and various local and private agencies.
