Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Training Course on “SDG 8 (Decent work and economic growth) Indicators” with the attendance of 56 participants from 26 National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of the OIC countries on 25-26 February 2025 through an online video conferencing platform.
Senior Statisticians at BPS-Statistics Indonesia, also known as Statistics Indonesia, conducted the training course. One of the key indicators provided by BPS for SDG 8 is economic growth which derived from Gross Domestic Product (GDP). In this context, GDP compilation plays a crucial role in measuring economic growth, making it one of the essential SDG indicators.
The training course included discussion sessions and covered the following topics:

Methodology and process of GDP compilation in Indonesia: Data source, compilation methods, workflow
