Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC organised a Study Visit on “Geospatial Data” on 4-5 November 2025 in Ankara, Republic of Türkiye, for the benefit of two delegates from the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The study visit was hosted by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) at its headquarters in Ankara. The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and technical capacity in the field of geospatial data and remote sensing, with a particular focus on practical applications and real-world use cases relevant to official statistics.
Throughout the two-day programme, participants were introduced to various aspects of geospatial data management and analysis. The agenda covered the following key topics:
