Within the framework of its Statistical Capacity Building (StatCaB) Programme, SESRIC will organise a Statistical Training Course on “Tourism Statistics” for the benefit of experts from the National Statistical Offices (NSOs) of the OIC Member Countries on 12-13 May 2026 through an online video conferencing platform.

The training course will be organised in collaboration with the BPS-Statistics Indonesia and the course will be delivered by its competent experts from the Directorates of Services Statistics and SDGs.

The main objective of the training course is to enhance the capacities of the participants in the collection, compilation, processing, analysis and dissemination of tourism statistics, while facilitating the sharing of Indonesia’s relevant country experience with the participating OIC Member Countries.

The training will cover the following topics:

• Official Statistics for Tourism
• Mobile Positioning Data (MPD) for Domestic Tourism
• Sustainable Tourism Indicators
• Tourism Satellite Account (TSA)
