STATISTICAL CAPACITY BUILDING SESSION FOR OIC AFRICAN MEMBER COUNTRIES 4TH MAY 2007, ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA
Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for the Islamic Countries (SESRTCIC) realized a special session on “Statistical Capacity Building” on 4th May 2007 as part of the 5th Session of the Committee on Development of Information (CODI-V) event organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the National Statistical Organisations of the OIC African member countries (Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire, Gabon, Guinea Bissau, Mali, Marocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, The Gambia, Tunisia, Uganda), Non-OIC Member Countries (Malawi, Liberia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Namibia, Botswana, South Africa) as observers and the representatives of the African Development Bank, UNECA, Paris21, AFRISTAT, and FAO.
